Description
For a short period of time once a year, the rolling hills of the English countryside go aflame with red poppies. Delicate flowers, whispering softly in the wind. A symbol of hope and remembrance in the UK. In Greek and Roman mythologies, a symbol of sleep, dreams, and even death. The Greek goddess Demeter, mourning the loss of her daughter Persephone, created the poppy as a symbol of eternal sleep and solace.
